A mouth-watering blend of southwestern flavors. For a taco night treat, stir mix into a pint of sour cream. Serve this dip with corn chips or use as your taco topping.
To make a cheeseball, stir mix into 8 oz softened cream cheese, 3 to 4 tablespoons sour cream and 3/4 cup finely shredded cheese. Form into a ball or spread into a serving dish. Serve with your favorite taco chips.
To make a Vegan Dip, blend package ingredients with 16 ounces of Toffuti Sour Supreme. Chill for 12 hours. Serve with crackers, chips and vegetables.
Taco Bowl Supper
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup white rice, uncooked
1 package Secret Garden Taco Ole Dip mix
1 can diced mild green chiles
½ cup salsa
½ cup black beans
½ cup frozen corn
2 cups beef broth (or tomato juice)
1 cup shredded cheese
¼ cup cream
1. Brown ground beef, breaking up into bits. Drain any excess fat.
2. Add diced onion and garlic. Cook 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Add rice and stir to toast.
4. Mix in taco seasoning, chiles, salsa, black beans, corn and broth.
5. Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
6. Stir in cheese and cream.
7. Serve in bowls, topped as desired with more cheese, sour cream, etc.
